ACTIVE RECOVERY

I say WEEKENDS are for running and recovering! After a week of working out, I look forward to my weekends of running and recovering. It’s important to let your body rest, but also nice to switch things up by incorporating other fun activities!

I like to take things easy or switch things up on my “active recovery” day by going for a run through the city or joining a friend for a power yoga class!

REMEMBER: Listen to your body and REST when needed! Self-Care is SO important! I always feel better when I am moving- so an active weekend works for me- while two days of rest could be important for you. Nobody knows YOU better than YOU!

Foam Rolling, light Yoga, Stretching and Meditating before bed are just a few ways to embrace your rest and recovery.

*It is important to find your local yoga master, mobility expert, physical therapist, doctor or injury specialist for anything more than your basic mobility exercises and recovery techniques. I am not a specialist and do not advise exercise to anyone experiencing health conditions, injuries or muscle imbalances*
